Swan Growth Investments releases its first ETF, Invesco debuts four actively managed ETFs, and best performing ETFs on the year.
  • Swan Growth Investments releases its first ETF that utilizes an options-based strategy.
    • The Swan Hedged Equity US Large Cap ETF (HEDG) looks to combine a passive index based strategy with an active risk management approach.
    • The fund holds ETFs tracking the S&P 500 Index with 10-15% of the allocation used for options, typically for hedging purposes.
    • HEDG carries a 0.87% expense ratio.

 

  • Invesco debuts four actively managed ETFs.
    • The Invesco Focused Discovery Growth ETF (IVDG) looks to invest in early-stage growth companies and carries an expense ratio of 0.59%.
    • The Invesco Select Growth ETF (IVSG) looks to invest in large and mid cap companies while still taking valuation into consideration. IVSG carries an expense ratio of 0.48%.
    • The Invesco Real Assets ESG ETF (IVRA) looks to invest in real asset equities, such as real estate, infrastructure, natural resources, and timber. Stocks in the portfolio must meet Invesco’s ESG standards and the fund carries an expense ratio of 0.59%.
    • The Invesco US Large Cap ESG ETF (IVLC) is designed to serve as a core holding focused on large cap U.S. equities that meet certain ESG criteria. IVLC carries a 0.48% expense ratio.

 

  • As we approach the end of 2020, here a few of the best performing ETFs (through 12/14/20).
    • Nine out of the top twenty top ETF performers focus on renewable energy with the Invesco Solar ETF TAN leading the way with a year-to-date return of 179.35%.
    • The top performing ETF on the year was the ARK Genomic Revolution ETF ARKG which returned a staggering 185.32% year-to-date.
