There is a change to the Invesco Sector Seven Model (POWERSEVEN) this week: buy the Invesco NDW Healthcare Momentum ETF (PTH) and sell the Invesco AI and Next Gen Software ETF (IGPT). IGPT was sold because its rank in the model’s relative strength matrix fell below the threshold to remain a holding in the portfolio. In its place, the model added PTH as it was the highest-ranking fund in the matrix that was not already a model holding. PTH currently has a near-perfect 5.86 fund score, which is 1.49 points better than the average for all healthcare and biotech funds, and a positive 2.23 score direction. On its default chart, PTH has completed two consecutive buy signals and reached a multi-year high earlier this month. Year-to-date (through 7/17) PTH has gained 19.81% on a price return basis; the fund also carries a 3% yield.
In addition to PTH, the model also has exposure to aerospace & defense, building & construction, clean energy, next gen connectivity, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductors. Year-to-date, POWER7 has gained 18.67%.
