International names maintain their overall leadership tendencies over domestic equities as we open April. Europe has been a point of strength for the better part of the last few years, as evidenced by strong positioning for the group within the international DALI rankings. Dividend payers have put together a strong opening quarter on the global stage, seeing international representative (HDEF) advance 4.58% through the first quarter. With recent action, the fund has reversed out of heavily overbought territory on its $0.50 chart, now trading near the middle of its ten-week trading band at $32.70. The fund has a strong 4.56 fund score, and the technical picture remains quite strong on the pullback. Underneath the hood, the fund has “heavy” allocation to the United Kingdom & Switzerland as well as the financials and consumer staples sectors. Support is found at $29.00.
