ANF Abercrombie & Fitch Co. ($146.94) - Retailing - ANF broke a double top at $120 for a third buy signal since the closing days of July as shares rallied to $154. This brings the trend chart to its highest level since early 2025, while the market RS chart will return to an RS buy signal, increasing the stock to a 5 for 5'er. The break and rally places the chart within overbought territory, so those seeking expsoure are best to look for pirce and chart consolidation before considering. Support now resides are the $100 level.
CDNS Cadence Design Systems, Inc. ($333.66) - Software - Shares of CDNS broke down earlier in the summer, dropping to an unacceptable 2 for 5'er. However, action today saw the name break a double top at $336 to move back to both a buy signal and a positive trend, bringing it up to hold territory as a 3 for 5'er. Those looking to buy could wait for a return of near-term relative strength. Initial support lies at $312 with initial resistance around the $348 and $352 level.
DINO HF Sinclair Corporation ($96.62) - Oil Service - DINO fell to a sell signal Wednesday when it broke a double bottom at $92. the outlook for the stock remains positive, however, as DINO is a 5 for 5'er that ranks in the top quintile of the oil service sector matrix. From here, the stock shows no additional support until $81. Overhead resistance can be seen at $98, DINO's all-time high.
EXR Extra Space Storage Inc. ($144.09) - Real Estate - EXR fell Wednesday to break a triple bottom at $144, which also moved the stock to a negative trend. This demotes EXR to a 1 for 5 TA rating. It has demonstrated weak relative strength against the market since 2023 and sits in the bottom half of the real estate sector matrix. The weight of the technical evidence is weak and deteriorating. Avoid long exposure. Note that the stock is at support from June with overhead resistance seen at $152.
MP MP Materials Corp. ($59.00) - Metals Non Ferrous - MP gave a second consecutive buy signal and moved into a positive trend on Wednesday when it completed a bullish triangle at $61. The positive trend change will promote the stock to an acceptable 3 for 5'er and it ranks in the top half of the favored non-ferrous metals sector matrix. From here, the first level of support sits at $56.
ORCL Oracle Corporation ($149.05) - Software - Shares of ORCL have been rallying off of their lows over the last month, regaining near-term market relative strength, and action today saw it break a double top at $150. That said, the 1 for 5'er sits well below its negative trendline and lacks long-term relative strength, keeping it in sell territory for the time being. From here, resistance lies at $158 then $194.
URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. ($82.45) - Retailing - URBN broke a double top at $80 to return to a buy signal as shares rallied to $82, marking their highest level since January. The stock is a 3 for 5'er with positive long-term relative strength against the market and peer group, while currently ranking within the top half of the Retailing sector matrix. Okay to consider here on the breakout or on a pullback to the mid $70s. Initial support lies at $72, the bullish support line, while additional can be found in the mid to upper $60s.
